Our client suffered complications from a procedure. At the time the cap for non-economic damages (pain and suffering) was $250,000 for medical malpractice.  Our client did not have any lost wages (economic damage) and Medicare would cover any future medical costs (economic damage). Still, we were able to obtain a settlement of $325,000.
